Both Jeremiah and Mark try to keep Cindy from investigating on her own, but she is determined to find answers to not only this death, but also another one that has just occurred at Green Pastures, a nature preserve on the outskirts of town. Cindy eventually believes the two deaths are tied together somehow and continues to follow the trail to solve the mystery.

The more Cindy questions people, the quicker things go from bad to worse. One person is shot, while another is murdered by poisoning and dies right in her living room. Cindy herself lands in the hospital with a separated shoulder, but none of this stops her. As she walks into a local pub and finds the crime ring, she tries to take them on, armed with darts in her hands. What will her fate be?

Meanwhile, Jeremiah is in a battle of his own, trapped with 14 kids at a camp in Green Pastures. Soaking rains have washed out the bridge and they cannot get back to the highway. When a bomb blows up their cabin, they are on the run from someone who is trying to kill them all.

This delightful mystery is a real winner. It's the third in Viguie's Psalm 23 series. The story explores different ways people deal with death, dangerous situations and relationships. It illustrates how people can dig deep down into their souls and find the courage to do what they have to do when they need to do it. Don't miss this one!
