Darcy Spenser was looking for a man to convince her well-to- do and hovering mother to back off, so she did the unthinkable: she lied to her mom and said she was seeing someone. Darcy may have been looking for a man, but when startled by a wolf and then a naked man, she didn't intend to get one by hitting the naked man over the skull with a hefty branch. However, that's how things turned out.

Now, Darcy has a dazed man with amnesia convalescing in her home, and some of his habits, particularly the walking around naked one, seem to be from out of this world. Darcy hopes to get some use out of her brand new PI certification to discover Surlock's identity, but the trouble is that the conclusions she keeps drawing don't make any sense.

Kelley's latest novel about the Symtarians attempting to keep others from killing the half-Symtarian, half-humans they have dubbed "the Impure" quickly forges from one situation to the next, culminating in a wonderful conclusion. THE WOLF PRINCE does not rely on her previous works, but after reading it, one will probably want to acquire the others. The characters in THE WOLF PRINCE are interesting and detailed, giving hope for more works to come involving the citizens of New Symtaria.
