Watching Morgan learn his heart and come to care for Liz and her family is a magic beyond the paranormal themes of the book. Kantra is adept at revealing Zach's struggles with his newly discovered nature and his feelings of isolation and hopelessness while trying to fit in to the new community at World's End.
