Several years have gone by and Justin is back and heart broken over losing Lucy. Unknown to Justin is that Lucy is Lady Standon and she has a secret that he can never find out about. But, trying to stay away from the man who still holds her heart is not an easy task. As much as she still feels the pain of his deserting her in her time of need she cannot stop the fact that she is still very much in love with Justin. But, an Earl does not marry someone like her, a daughter of a thief and spy. She learned her lesson the first time she is not about to go through that pain again. What she does not realize is that Justin is not ready to let her go a second time and will do what he can to win her back.

Elizabeth Boyle has done it again, HOW I MET MY COUNTESS is fun, romantic and a must read. Lucy is not your typical lady and is not ashamed of that fact and Justin who is your typical Earl is taught how to let some of that stuffiness go. There are some characters through out the book that are old familiar faces we have seen in some of Ms. Boyle's previous books, that is a treat all on its own.
