Upon visiting his brother, Gabriel meets a young woman, Velda Silver, who has come to the Hunt Foundation seeking assistance to find her father, Dr. Lawrence Silver, who has disappeared near the South Pole. Velda plays the last audio tape of her father, who talks about green lush vegetation and tropical warmth before the tape cuts out.

Gabriel, never a man who can relax at home, jumps at the chance for a new adventure. Gathering up his crew of four, they head to the South Pole, where Velda uses her connections to get transport out to the area where Dr. Silver vanished off the face of the earth. An accident occurs where the ice shifts and the transport vehicle sinks into an opening that seems to lead miles below the surface. An avalanche seals off their ascent to the surface, so down is the only way to go. As the group slowly makes their way down the crevice, the temperature seems to miraculously get warmer. They round a bend and are shocked to see a jungle paradise with running water and a strange red glowing dome around the ceiling area. A narrow crack in the dome allows sunlight to enter.

But this new land is anything but paradise. Strange prehistoric creatures attack them, killing one of them, and just as the rest are about to be lunch for this creature, beautiful almost-naked women arrive and kill it. Thinking to use his charm, Gabriel jumps down from the tree he has climbed only to be tied up and carried off to their camp. The women of the group are separated and Gabriel must fight his friend for the honor of breeding the queen of the tribe.
