Christine Warren brings you back into her world of shifters in BORN TO BE WILD.

Veterinarian Josie Barrett has noticed a problem as of late. It seems that many of the Werewolves in the town of Stone Creek, Oregon are turning feral. She partners with Eli Pace the local sheriff to try and find out just what is happening to the werewolves and try to stop it before it becomes too much and infects all the different shifters in town. Can Josie and Eli find the source of the evil or will they end up just like everyone else?

This book had an interesting story line. The nasty virus terrorism was a great science fiction addition to a romance novel for which I am glad. I enjoy reading a book that has a plot not just two lovers coming together. Although Josie and Eli begin to have feelings for each other while they work to solve the mystery the romance is not as much as I would have liked they seem to lack a bit in the passion department. Since this book was labeled romance I expected more but that fact does not deter the reader from enjoying the story. Josie is an intelligent woman and Eli is a strong man who fights for what is right. Josie and Eli make a great team and both are determined to get to the bottom of things and fix it no matter what. It was nice to watch their relationship bloom as they try to solve the mystery.

With well developed characters and a good plot this book entices the reader enough to go in search of the others in this series to read if they have not already. If you enjoy your books with suspense and adventure to go along with your romance you may want to check this book out.

Book Summary

Josie Barrett brings out the animal in men. Literally. As the local veterinarian in a town that’s approximately seventy percent Others—mostly shapeshifters—Josie deals with beastly situations all the time. It’s practically part of her job description. But when the werewolves of Stone Creek, Oregon, start turning downright feral, Josie smells a rat—among other, more dangerous critter.

Teaming up with the ferociously sexy Eli Pace, a full-time sheriff and part-time were-lion, Josie tries to contain the shapeshifting problem before it spreads like a virus. But when more shifters get infected—and stuck in their animal forms—the fur really begins to fly. Josie and Eli have to find the cause, fast, before the whole town goes to the dogs. But first, they have to wrestle with a few animal urges of their own.
