A mysterious card postmarked Go Back Cove, Maine suggests Camry is living there, and Grey wants to go rescue her. Grace, however, believes that Luke should do this instead, and as usual the ageless Scottish warriors bows to his wife's intuition. So, Luke is off to Go Back Cove to convince Camry she must be home for her birthday, which she shares with her six sisters on the winter solstice in two weeks.
Camry works part-time as a bartender, and full time as a pet sitter in the small community of Go Back Cove. She has no plans to go home, as she considers herself a failure. Luke's appearance in her life, along with a run- away teen-ager, really complicates things.
Janet Chapman gifts the reader with an extraordinary seasonal story full of laughter, romance, and magic. Camry and Luke come face-to-face with the future and the past, even though they don't realize that while it is happening to them. Visits with the MacKeage and the MacBain clans are always greatly entertaining and A HIGHLANDER CHRISTMAS will satisfy long-time and new fans alike as they share a special time with very special people.
Book Summary
Camry MacKeage has absolutely no intention of telling her parents that she left her job as a NASA physicist for the small-town life of a dog-sitter -- which is why she's spending the holidays alone in coastal Maine with her furry friends Tigger and Max. Unfortunately, her irresistibly handsome rival, scientist Luke Pascal, accidentally spilled the beans. Now he's on a mission from her mother to tempt Camry home for the family's annual winter solstice celebration. But Luke is hiding his own secret, and he'll need a little bit of magic to earn Camry's trust...and a whole lot of mistletoe to seduce his way into her heart.
