What a Christmas surprise West discovers when he returns from Colorado to relocate his Alzheimer's ridden father. Even though West and Soleil are at a Mexican standoff, the hot sexual attraction rekindles their interest. With both routed in their direct opposite worlds, it seems there is no way either will give up their own lifestyle. Long- distance fathering leaves much to be desired for West, who wants to be there for his baby.
This cute story written by Jamie Sobrato consists of two very set-in-their-ways adults. The characters are strong-willed and interesting. Enough of their family background is woven into the story to give it the depth to understand where Soleil and West are both acquiring their outlooks on commitment. I enjoyed this read and would look forward to more by this author.
Book Summary
Having a baby isn't exactly in Soleil Freeman's plans. Being single and pregnant? Even further off her to-do list. Still, she can make this work… if she can figure out how to handle the father.
West Morgan is absolutely perfect summer distraction material. But building a life with a guy who's all about picket fences and tradition is not her deal. Funny thing happens when she drops the "Merry Christmas, you're gonna be a dad" news, though. That delicious attraction that fueled their affair is alive and well. And when West embarks on a campaign to be a family, she's more open to the idea than she thought!
