Having assumed a new identity, Jessa Bellamy has a special ability to see a person's darkest secret with one touch. Jessa now finds herself stalked by those from GenHance, a prosperous company intent on killing her to harvest her extraordinary DNA. Gaven Matthias, with a history of his own supernatural powers, endeavors to save Jessa from by hiding her underground.

As Gaven, the one person whose touch does not send her into the shadowlight, tries to inform Jessa of her intended fate, she denies being stalked or in any danger. Jessa is torn between not knowing if Gaven is her most lethal enemy or her savior. They are soon running for their lives from the enemy while surrounded by violent acts and extreme powers.

SHADOWLIGHT is a thriller filled with exceptional imagination, written of medieval vampires and Kyndreds. This extremely fast-paced and exciting tale has an enlightening history of the formation of the Kyndred. Buckle your seatbelt and hang on for a trip into the paranormal world. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. There were many characters to keep track of in the beginning, but by a third of the way through, Lynn Viehl succeeded in bringing everything into perspective. I will definitely watch for more novels of the Kyndred.
