Simone Sweet has a huge secret. She keeps to herself with her poor daughter Glory who hasn't said a word since Simone's ex-husband tried to kill them. As a matter of fact she lives with her ex-husband's relative because she had no other place to go in Broken Heart, Oklahoma. Since she was turned into a vampire, she has felt a strange essence coming from the barn out back of their house. It just doesn't feel right.

Now Braddock Hayes is coming around her garage and she's not sure she likes it very much. She just can't get close to any man after what that rat of an ex-husband did to her and her family! Braddock is persistent if anything. Braddock has a few secrets of his own though.

And if that isn't bad enough Simone rescues a pixie from a trap and he's hers now until he can save her life. What's that all about? Everybody in Broken Heart thought the pixies were extinct. So why is this one showing up now? Things are getting curiouser and curiouser!

I'm so loving Michele Bardsley's town of Broken Heart saga. I especially enjoy that I get to visit with the same characters over and over in the books. I either laugh or cry with each and every character but I always come back for more! I can't wait for the next one!
