Gabriel Hunt, of the Hunt Foundation, in true Indiana Jones form, stands beside his brother, Michael, in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, uncomfortable in his tuxedo. The Hunt Foundation has loaned several artifacts that Gabriel discovered to the museum and is hosting a party in the Great Hall. Gabriel catches the eye of a beautiful woman who seems to glide across the floor in her evening gown, carrying something wrapped in old frayed material. Mesmerized by her beauty, Gabriel watches with excitement thinking that she only has eyes for him as she comes up and introduces herself as Mariella, then turns to speak to Michael. In the blink of an eye, as she holds up a bottle to Michael, then all hell breaks loose as the wait staff pull guns and a shoot-out starts. Gabriel tries to defend the beauty. He fights some of the men and catches a glimpse one of them carrying her out of the museum. Pure mayhem and pandemonium leave several dead and the woman kidnapped.

When Gabriel inspects the broken bottle and the material, he discovers the material is a Confederate battle flag. He slips the evidence into his jacket as the thrill of the chase starts hitting his veins. By the next day, someone threatens Gabriel's life a second time. He is determined to find out what is so important about the flag. His search takes him from the Metropolitan Museum of Art to the swamplands of Florida to Mexico, where he meets a museum director, Cierra, whose life is now threatened just for meeting him. Circumstances take Cierra and Gabriel deep into the jungles of Guatemala, where they meet up with Mariella, the beautiful woman from the museum, and her captors, who once again try to kill Gabriel.

Esparza, the man behind all the violence, is a very rich man who's in search of the fountain of youth. Mariella was trying to bring some of the fountain's water to the Hunt Foundation so they could research its properties in the hope of discovering the mystery of the water's power.

From the rip-roaring opening to the tragic end, HUNT AT THE WELL OF ETERNITY is indeed reminiscent of an Indiana Jones adventure with a little bit of romance and a whole lot of action. Leisure Adventure's new Gabriel Hunt series promises it all and delivers it in this first story. Very entertaining.
