After arriving in Fairbrook, Renee again sees the old man spreading his bits of advice to others. In the cold rainy weather, Renee finds shelter in a tree house with hopes of finding a job. The new, young pastor Craig Houston joined the ministry as a result of a bargain with God and is also touched by Jesse and his advice to troubled residents that "things are never as they seem." The warmhearted Jesse is thought of as a psychic, since he knows so many personal things about their lives and their problems.

Raised by her grandmother, Kristy Smith has given up her dream of medical school to care for her son and her ailing grandmother. Jesse encourages Kristy not to forget her own value or to sell herself short. Jesse is an ethereal presence who touches the soul of everyone he meets.

I loved Judy Duarte's previous book, MULBERRY PARK, and ENTERTAINING ANGELS is equally as fantastic. I found it to be a wonderfully fulfilling story of love and prophecy. Jesse's subtle, caring character is a surge of faith and belief as an angel spreading love and desperately needing help among the residents of the community. Do not miss this one!
