While Elizabeth's antenna is picking up vibes, she quickly jumps to erroneous conclusions which she confides, not to her husband, but to her longtime girlfriend? Will her advice help or make things worse?

Reed was definitely hiding things from her, but not for what she thought. The doctor had warned him not to put Elizabeth under stress; yet, his failure to communicate only added more stress. What was he to do? How could he keep her from danger if he couldn't tell her? Then, when a child becomes their responsibility, would his family's inference cause all the marriage cards to fall?

Barbara Dunlop is a proven spinner of sensuous romances and has provided some interesting twists on how the rich and beautiful have their own set of difficulties. MARRIAGE, MANHATTAN STYLE is complete on its own, yet, it nicely links into the other books in the Park Avenue Scandals series based on the lives of the residents of 721 Park Avenue. While I appreciated her deft hand in making Reed learn what is needed in his marriage, I admit I felt less identification with Elizabeth who tended to stay too far over on the petulant side and didn't really seem to develop any strong insights or fresh perspectives. Still, that is only a minor quibble in a worthwhile read. You will want to keep reading to see if they can reach across their self- imposed barriers to find the heart and soul of their mate. Enjoy!
