Extreme tomboy Jaycee Anderson has just lost her father, owner of Race Chicks, Inc. Twenty-six-year-old Jaycee is the first woman to ever place in the top five and finish fourth for the Nextel Cup. When gathered for the reading of the will, Jaycee is shocked to learn she has an older half- sister, Riley Vaughn. Her controlling father, Ace, stipulates in his will that both girls must work together, Riley as manager and Jaycee as driver, to inherit his company and estate. Dislike, fiery attitudes and denial hamper the sisters in complying with the conditions of the will. Jaycee, with a driven need to own the racing company, and Riley, with a desire to have the money to support her own business and pay medical bills for her sick mother, are forced to collaborate.

Into the mix appears Jaycee's childhood friend, the gorgeous and famous race driver Rory Canyon. After turning down Jaycee's advances as a teen, Rory has kept his distance as he and Jaycee try to deny there is a friendship left. Jaycee is forced to endure a complete female makeover to draw publicity and keep her sponsor from pulling out. This is torture for the no-make-up, no-frills tomboy who's more at home in a baseball cap and boots surrounded knee- deep in motors and grease. Jaycee in high heels and make-up set Rory's libido soaring. When Rory realizes this is the woman from his fantasies, breath-stealing, bone-melting sex invades the comfortable little niche of what they believe they really want.

The story Kimberly Raye weaves is extremely exciting and fun to read. Jaycee is a very unique character with a stubborn streak. She's had little love and warmth from a domineering father whose entire life was racing. The love and respect discovered by the sisters changes their lives. Hot, sizzling sex rocks their world when Jaycee and Rory finally connect. I will definitely watch for other works written by this author as I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Book Summary

Jaycee Anderson is the first female to take the NASCAR Sprint Cup circuit by storm, and after finishing fourth overall last season, she has her eyes on the prize: knocking Rory Canyon out of the number three spot. She’ll do anything to see the job done, too, even transform herself from a tomboy into a glamor queen if that’s what it takes to get sponsorship and the edge.

Rory’s the kind of infuriating chauvinist who’s just begging to get the pants beat off him by a woman—on the track, at least; Jaycee’s fairly sure he’s never had to beg anywhere else.

Not with the millions of female fans who buy his shirts and caps and posters. Rory’s just the type who gets Jaycee’s own pistons pumping, her wheels spinning, and her engine burning oil. With their past, she’s surprised they haven’t already seen a smashup that ended in flames. But this track they’re running has some deadly curves…and it’s getting more slippery by the minute.
