Trent Tyler goes after what he wants, and right now he wants Julia Lowell for both business and pleasure. Though mainly, he needs her to help resurrect Tempest West, a western themed resort, to give him the boost he needs to beat his brother in a little bet. When he makes a deal with a company and acquires Julia in the process, he considers himself in a win-win situation. He never considered how she would take it if she ever found out the truth. Losing Julia in his bed has him questioning his reasons for hiring her. Does he want her for more than just her mind? Was their affair the beginning of something more than just a fling?
Charlene Sands gifts us with a very satisfying romance. She writes in a way that we can empathize with her characters. Julia knows that she is going in to this job with her emotions too close to the surface. Trent seems to think that Julia is going to give him everything he desires both in and out of the office. Little does he realize that there is more to life than fun and games, and the readers get to wonder if he will ever learn that important lesson before he loses everything. FIVE-STAR COWBOY is a wonderfully entertaining read that takes us on a bumpy ride as Trent and Julia try to find their path. I will be looking forward to the next brother's story as Ms. Sands continues this series.
