Jean-Luc's not looking forward to the solitary life but meeting Heather might just change that. She provides him with the things he has long since resigned himself to not having. Things like love and a family. When an old enemy arrives to wreck havoc on Jean-Luc's life, Heather gets caught in the middle and becomes a target. Now Lui is threatening Jean-Luc and Heather's chance at happiness, before either even realizes what they can have together.

If the hottie on the cover of THE UNDEAD NEXT DOOR isn't enough to get you to pick up this book, then the story will definitely snag you. As a first time reader to Kerrelyn Sparks' Love at Stake series, I was delighted to find it full of colorful characters and an abundance of humor. Coming into the middle of a series is always a worry, because you don't have the background to the characters and the story, but that was in no way an issue here. I jumped right into the book and it was over way before I was ready to let go. If humor and romance along with a good dash of danger is your thing, run to the bookstore and pick up THE UNDEAD NEXT DOOR. You'll love it!
