Who is Winslow Talbot? Even as a successful writer for Dazzle, a society tabloid written for the voice of the rich and famous, she feels like an impostor. Years of facial plastic surgery stemming from a car accident that took the life of her father when she was only nine, has given her a beautiful face but one she doesn't recognize. Winslow is wealthy; part of the crowd she writes about for Dazzle. Her wealth is from her loving stepfather, a man who cares about her for all the right reasons, but Winslow is finding life more shallow and unfulfilling each day.

When Winslow learns about a hit-and-run boating accident that leaves a young Cuban girl terribly disfigured, she sees this as an opportunity to make a real difference by helping the child. This leads Winslow to Alex Diaz, the editor of a Miami newspaper, who warns her of the dangers of snooping in Florida's Cuban exile community. Passions run deep and explode with deadly consequences. Winslow ignores the warnings and continues looking for answers, which soon pits her against her stepsister and soon-to-be brother-in-law, her stepfather, her boss and the police.

The killer is a patient person and waits in the shadows for just the right time to see her suffer and die. Is Winslow Talbot IN TOO DEEP?

This book is incredible, and I could not put it down. It's as exciting and thrilling as it is intense and gripping. Complex and utterly heart-stopping, it's a fabulous romantic suspense drama that could well be the best thriller of the year. IN TOO DEEP is my first Tina Wainscott experience, but I'll be searching the shelves for everything else she's written. She's an author not to be missed.
