Josh Halvorsen moved back home to get his life in order. Now a single father, he needed to give his child some stability. His son has become an introverted computer geek. Being able to get him out working would certainly help them both get back into the swing of life. He just wasn't counting on Tasha returning. She left him once, she would do it again. While he needed for his son to get his life on track, Josh's was a train wreck about to happen.
Could Josh and Tasha rekindle what they had, or was it better left a perfect memory? Even though there was a hole in Tasha's old home wall, there was a cast iron wall surrounding her heart. Josh was able to fix the wall at her house, but there was no guarantee he could do the same for her, and no guarantee that she would stay even if he did. You may never go to the home you remember, but for Tasha Simmons that may be a good thing.
Kimberly Van Meter's RETURN TO EMMETT'S MILL is a sweet story of rekindling love and what it takes to trust again. Lives change and so do situations, but this is a heartwarming telling of new beginnings. Some memories are better in person. A book of endearment, this one is a keeper.
Book Summary
Fifteen years ago golden girl Tasha Simmons had run from Emmett's Mill, leaving behind everyone she loved. Including Josh Halvorsen, her high school sweetheart, whom she'd hoped to marry. She'd never told him the secret that shamed her into leaving. And when Tasha learned that Josh had married and moved on, she'd known the man of her dreams was lost to her forever.
Yet now that Tasha's had to return to Emmett's Mill, she can't avoid Josh—handsome as ever, a single father who hadn't forgotten their love. Or forgiven her for leaving.
