For Felicity Seymour, the time has come to prove her worth in the world. The problem is that Felicity lives in a world ruled by magic, where individual power determines your place in society, and although Felicity's parents had power to spare, she is sadly lacking in the magic department. She's sure there is magic inside her...somewhere...but if she fails her testing, someone else will hold her title.

Terrance Blackwell, a shape-shifter and relic hunter, is immune to magic but can sense it around him. He discerns magic in Felicity but is at a loss to determine if the magic is hers or has been placed on her. Terrance is on the hunt for the 13 relics of Merlin, and since Felicity seems to be the key to one of the stones, Terrance stays close to the young beauty. It's not long before Terrance discovers that there's more to Felicity than meets the eye, although what meets the eye is certainly attractive enough, and falls head over heels in spite of himself.

Magical is really the best word to describe ENCHANTING THE LADY, the beginning of a promising new series. Delightful also comes to mind; okay, maybe enchanting. A little danger and suspense thrown into a fantasy world of romance -- there is nothing here not to like.

Book Summary

In a world where magic ruled everything, Felicity Seymour couldn’t perform even the simplest spell. If she didn’t pass her testing, she’d lose her duchy—and any hope of marriage. But one man didn’t seem to mind her lack of dowry: a darkly delicious baronet who had managed to scare away the rest of London’s Society misses.

Sir Terence Blackwell knew the enchanting woman before him wasn’t entirely without magic. Not only could she completely disarm him with her gorgeous lavender eyes and frank candor, but his were-lion senses could smell a dark power on her—the same kind of relic-magic that had killed his brother. Was she using it herself, or was it being used against her?

One needed a husband, and the other needed answers. But only together could they find the strongest magic of all: true love.
