While looking for a place to get a drink, Zach sees an ad for Magic Anna, a psychic performing at a local club. Irresistibly drawn to her, Zach sits through both her shows, then learns where she's staying. Anna knows he's there, she's felt him all evening. And even more -- she can hear him in her head. The consortium no longer exists, but the after-effects linger, including the man who wants them both dead, not only to hide his involvement, but because he believes they are monsters -- they and others like them. Anna and Zach are determined to survive, however, and soon learn that the passion they have for one another intensifies their mental powers. The stronger their bond becomes, the better their chances are of escaping the fate their enemies plan for them. BEYOND FEARLESS is the second installment in another winning series by Ms. York. As usual, her characters are very real, their situation very believable. She's woven threads of the paranormal world through the one we all recognize and made it seem completely normal. Their minds might be paranormal, but their hearts are all-too human, and their connection with one another is the ultimate in love at first sight. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I knew I would. A very good read.
