While Derek is focused on fighting evil and playing by the harsh rules of honor set out for him, he's slowly being caught in an invisible web of his own, but not one spun by demons. It's Rachel who's slowly ensnaring him, causing him to throw caution to the wind and finally open up his heart to the promise of a brighter future and the love of a good woman. Derek's weakness is a powerful weapon for the minions of Hell, and they will do everything in their power to exploit it.

This is the first book in a fun new series by veteran fantasy writer Margaret Weis and her daughter Lizz. Sometimes light and funny, sometimes dark, it's definitely aimed at the romance rather than the fantasy audience. I recommend WARRIOR ANGEL for the paranormal romance reader, but not as a crossover for the hardcore fantasy crowd.
