Coerced into a political marriage with a Centaur chieftain, Shannon and her new husband unite their people in a fierce battle against the Fomorians, a vampire-like race who threatens to overrun and destroy their world. And even if Shannon and ClanFintan win the battle with the Fomorians, there's still the "real" Rhiannon to contend with.

Disillusioned with life in Oklahoma, Rhiannon is determined to return to her own life as Goddess. For that to happen, Shannon has to leave hearth, home and husband -- all that she's learned to love and hold dear.

I loved this story the first time I read it in small press form as "Goddess by Mistake" a few years ago and I loved it this time, too. A lot has been added to this edition. It's not just an old book with a new cover and title, but a total rewrite. P.C.Cast is an excellent writer and it is great to have seen her go from small press to a major publisher. No one deserves it more. That she's a teacher, too, is just icing on the cake.
