Skye Wright is a self-proclaimed bad girl and has always lived her life by her own set of rules. Sure, they don't always match up with the rules the rest of us live by, and they may seem more like "tips for rebellion" than actual rules, but Skye follows them to the letter. Her rules do not include things like "go the speed limit." And that's what gets her into trouble. A routine traffic stop gets her arrested and sets into motion a chain of events that will change her life forever.

Sheriff Nathan Thornton knows trouble when he sees it, and Skye Wright exudes it from her pores. Nathan's military background instilled in him a sense of order and an almost obsessive need for rules. Like cats and dogs, oil and water, Skye and Nathan do not go together well. Every encounter, starting when Nathan pulls her over for speeding, ends in an argument. They can barely stand to be in the same room for five minutes. So how is it possible that Skye's sexy dancer's body is invading Nathan's thoughts long after she's gone? And why is Skye fantasizing about breaking all of her own rules and making a play for the hot sheriff?

Eventually, passion overwhelms them and they give in to it, but Nathan's heart has been broken before and he guards it tighter than Fort Knox. And Skye's first rule is "don't fall in love." Will they be able to break their own rules and let their hearts guide the way?

If you liked Linz's GOOD GIRLS DO, you'll love meeting Julia's sister Skye. She's as opposite from Julia's good- girl ways as night from day. But she's just as lovable and it's just as much fun watching her fall in love. It's great to get a glimpse into Julia and Luke's lives after they rode off on his Harley, and it's nice to see Skye and Julia finally get to know each other and become friends. Definitely a must read.

Book Summary

It took less than two seconds for Sheriff Nathan Thornton to peg sexy Skye Wright as trouble. Maybe it was the way she shimmied her hips in that I Dream of Jeannie outfit. Or the huge stack of speeding tickets in her bag. Whatever it was, the woman was belly-dancing her way into his thoughts. Now if only she'd belly-dance into his bedroom.
