When is a sleepover appropriate? When you have insomnia and you call your close friend...who also happens to be your handsome boss? When you're at a wedding and forced to share tight quarters with a good-looking groomsman? When sex is not an issue, you just want a good spoon? When you're best friends to talk about A, B and C?

Thirtysomething Chicagoans Jess, Anne, Beth, Lilith and Robin sure don't know the answer (well, they can all agree on D, as long as gourmet junk food is within arm's reach), but they're more than willing to lose sleep trying to figure it out.
