STRONGER THAN YOU KNOW takes readers back to the intriguing world of The McKenzies of Ridge Trail. Lori Foster weaves magic with the words on every page she offers her readers. I love this family with their dynamic and diversity - even though the family members can be very different. There are a few changes in the characters from No Holding Back (book 1) as we see the patriarch, Parrish, softening up a bit to let his children know he is proud of them. He was not as giving in book 1. Cade and Sterling are back giving readers a look at their growth as a couple. Bernard, who runs the house for the family, (and the kittens) alternately add seriousness and hilarity. Book one showed us this perceived stuffed shirt going gaga over kittens and still in STRONGER THAN YOU KNOW he is not letting Reyes have them back. We also get a look at Madison's future romantic partner - a grumpy cop who doesn't quite trust the McKenzie family.

Reyes has always been dedicated to his family's work but it is only after meeting Kennedy does he understand the good they can accomplish. Kennedy is the perfect match for him, as she has been very proactive as a writer and presenting facts at seminars. The romance is slow building (and understandable given her history), but explodes off the charts as readers eagerly turn the pages. The action is so realistic that I found myself hurting for them, and my heart beating faster with theirs as they all face danger to do what they can to end trafficking.

STRONGER THAN YOU KNOW is an amazing read that features a terrible plight that affects more women and children than anyone can imagine. In this book, these women are no longer victims and are fighting back with the help of a family. The family may be using methods the law doesn't allow, but they have been affected by the evil and trained to stop the horror as much as they can. You do not want to miss STRONGER THAN YOU KNOW!
