In this new series from Christin Feehan, readers meet the members of the motorcycle club Torpedo Ink. Leading them all is Czar and his wife Blythe. JUDGMENT ROAD focuses on Reaper and Anya, a new bartender at the Torpedo Ink's bar. Anya has come to the Sea Haven area while running from danger. Reaper can't stop thinking about and wanting her but knows he can't have her because of his past. Anya is also attracted to Reaper and wants one night of wild hot sex with him because she's not sticking around. Anya is living out of her car in a secluded campsite, which isn't a stretch from how she grew up.

Reaper is conflicted over his feelings for Anya because he thinks feelings lead to weakness, but he can't deny he attracted to her and wants her to stay in town. One night, Anya overhears Reaper and Czar talking about her. When she confronts Reaper she pushes him, and everyone in the bar is astonished to see that she survived touching Reaper... Almost anyone who touches Reaper directly ends up dead because of his abilities. They soon begin a relationship, all the while still being cautious of how much they come in contact, both because of Reaper's powers, but also because neither of them wants to get tied down too quickly.

Author Christine Feehan caught my interest when I read The Twilight Before Christmas in the Drake Sisters Series, so I was glad to get the chance to revisit the Sea Haven area with her latest book JUDGMENT ROAD, the first book in the Torpedo Ink series. Centered around an exclusive, dangerous, and very steamy motorcycle club called Torpedo Ink, JUDGMENT ROAD has humor and heartwarming parts as well. Readers are invited into the world of a truly unique family where each member has a different ability. I'm looking forward to the next installments in this series, and whose story will be next!
