I found COVER FIRE by Jess Anastasi to be an action packed sci-fi romance novel that is quite the page turner. Anastasi is a brilliant writer who knows how to grab your attention and hold on to it until the very last page, always making you want more. The characters are so real and life-like that they seem like old friends. The setting and scenes are vividly written so that you can picture them with ease as if you are really there experiencing everything first hand.

Jenna is an undercover agent who is brilliantly smart, extremely clever, and use to doing everything on her own. She is a headstrong expert spy and challenges herself daily to be better than she was yesterday. Seb is a risk taking, thrill-seeker, dare devil pilot whose sole duty is to take Jenna on her mission in a spaceship that has seen much better days. This decrepit spaceship is their only hope. However, after a crash landing, they soon realize they have much bigger problems to worry about. There has been an assassination ordered and it does not look good for the two of them. Together they must find out who is out to get her and why.

COVER FIRE is full of on the edge of your seat thrill seeking moments that will have you questioning what will happen on the next page. This is an incredible mystery that is full of suspense that has so many twists and turns you will find it hard to keep up. I plan on reading more in the Valiant Knox series soon!
