Hyman's novel reinforces many positive values, such as love for family, friendship, resiliency and a "can do" attitude but not in a teachy way as she doesn't always make the smartest choices. The action is fast paced, and you will love how Mango delights in tasting her food favourites, loves track, music and drama.
