Liv finds herself trapped in an alley with some rough bikers when she is rescued by someone she has not seen since college. Shock comes face to face with the girl who rejected him in college. Back in college Liv knew him as Devin, the heir to his family fortune. Now he is a leather riding biker member that looks totally different from the man she knew in college.
After Shock comes to her rescue again Liv asks Shock for his help. Shock agrees to help her provided she agrees to his stipulations.
Liv is desperate for Shock's help so she agrees, with some reservations, because of his unconventional stipulations.
Shock never knew why Liv rejected him in college nor does he know why she needs his help. All he knows is that he wants her and will do whatever it takes to get her. But once he learns of the reasons for her rejection of him he's ready to call off the arrangement, but once Liv gets involved she's insistent that they continue with the arrangement.
As they continue with their arrangement Shock learns the real reason why Liv needed his help. Even though their arrangement is for one month Shock wants more. But Liv learns about Shock's past and don't see how they can ever have a future together.
Shock and Liv both learn lessons about perceptions and assumptions.
If this is your first time reading anything by Opal Carew I think you will enjoy it. If you enjoyed reading HARD RIDE then you should also read Riding Steele and get familiar with the various characters and their unconventional lifestyles. Opal Carew is a great writer with some entertaining stories.
