THE DEAD PLAY ON is a mesmerizing story of the music of New Orleans, obsession, romance and intrigue. There is so much happening in this book that it could have been confusing but author Heather Graham's writing style keeps it all running smoothly. The story is a combination of romance (the main couple being Danni and Quinn, but there are other couples that have their moments) with a frightening mystery that brings a lot of people together in tragedy and love. Many secrets come to light and they add to the myriad of intrigues that will keep the readers reading. I will admit that though I am usually pretty good at guessing the bad guy ... this one I never saw coming.

So, if you are looking for a book that is a good study of survival on several levels with lovers learning to love and accept each other and a mystery that is intriguing THE DEAD PLAY ON will fill the bill nicely.
