Trixie will do all that she can when ACB is taken into custody for the death of her biker boyfriend, Nick Brownelli. Trixie is buying the Silver Bullet Diner, a Victorian home, and six small cottages from her aunt. She loves her new life and is determined to avoid men after her divorce.

Never mind, that Ty Brisco, the local sheriff keeps her salivating. Trixie is angry when Ty puts ACB in jail. Even when explains that it is really protective custody, Trixie isn't happy.

With a bunch of contestants for the Miss Salmon contest living in her house, the members of the biker club that Nick rode with camping out on her property and working the night shift at the diner, Trixie is willing to loose sleep to track down Nick's killer.

Ms. Wenger has written an excellent book with DINERS, DRIVE-INS, AND DEATH. The third in the Comfort Food Mystery series, the identity of the real killer was well - disguised until the end. Readers will drool as they read about all the food served in the diner. The interaction between Trixie and Ty adds a little spice to the stories. I want to know when the missing cook is going to show up again. Hopefully, we will finally get a glimpse in the next book.
