When Melanie quit her job at Rainer Enterprises it was because she was in love with her boss, Rafe Rainer. Now working in a coffee shop, which is a big step down from her job as Rafe's secretary, she is determined to find herself again. For a birthday gift, her new friend Jessica, who also works for Rainer Enterprises, gives Melanie a gift certificate to get a tattoo. Something Melanie has always wanted, but would never spend the money on. When she arrives to the appointment Jessica made for her, Rafe just happens to be getting one too.

Rafe Rainer has had a rough childhood at the hands of his father. His father had built Rainer Enterprises, so that with his passing, it would be passed down to both Rafe and Dane Rainer. After some soul searching on the road, Rafe is back in Philadelphia when his long time secretary quits and no one will tell him why. Rafe can now admit to himself that he was always attracted to her, but he didn't want to start something while she was still working for him. That would've made it a bit uncomfortable at work once he broke it off. Because that's what he does. He doesn't have time for anything serious. But he can't get Melanie out of his head.

And now she's going on tour with his band?????

I loved reading about these two and how they finally got together. Rafe and Melanie both helped each other find their true happiness as well as the pieces each of them were missing themselves. I am looking forward to reading more of Opal Carew's books. Her writing is excellent and has the absolutely perfect amount of erotic romance for me!
