Former detective, and now a community relations officer, Ash Rashid is just trying to go home to his family after work when he stumbles upon a car wreck. The drive and passenger are dead from gunshot wounds. Ash soon discovers the detective that arrives to take the case is in over his head, and Ash must control the scene. When it is discovered that a nurse who stopped to help was kidnapped and one of the murder victims is the daughter of a drug kingpin, the case quickly gets out of hand. Ash is put in charge and must work with people who won't overlook his past indiscretions and with FBI agents who think he's too close to the drug kingpin. Ash is fighting the clock to find the kidnap victim and those responsible for the murder before it is too late and more people die.
