As usual this book is full of fun and sarcasm, UNDEAD AND UNSTABLE is the last book in the trilogy within the series and it wraps many things up but still leaves a little room for readers to wonder about the what ifs. I enjoyed visiting everyone again. Mary Janice Davidson makes you feel like you are one of the gang when you read these books. Some parts are hilarious and some parts were not up to par for me. I do hope that we get the old Sinclair back at some point. It would be nice to see him back to his alpha bossy ways. I miss that part of him. I do not enjoy seeing him so docile. It was also interesting to see Antonia and Garrett from the Wyndham books.
I enjoyed UNDEAD AND UNSTABLE but it was not a favorite for me. Betsy is more scattered in this book and there are few twists and turns to keep readers engaged in the plot. I hope that the next book takes us back to the original storyline with the original gang. The author has taken Betsy and her pals on a different path with this trilogy and in this book she has finished and fixed all that has gone awry since book one in this story arc. I hope that this is not the end of this series and that we get to see more from Betsy in the future.
Book Summary
“If you’re fans of Sookie Stackhouse and Anita Blake,
don’t miss Betsy Taylor. She rocks” (The Best
Reviews)—and she’s back once again as a vampire queen
who finds herself an unlucky (but fashionable) passenger on
the road to damnation…
Betsy’s heartbroken over
her friend Marc’s death, but at least his sacrifice should
change the future—her future—for the better. But
it’s not as if Betsy’s next few hundred years will be
perfect. After all, her half-sister Laura is the AntiChrist,
Laura’s mother is Satan, and family gatherings will always
be more than a little awkward.
What’s really
bothering Betsy is that ever since she and Laura returned
from visiting her mom in Hell, Laura’s been acting
increasingly peculiar. Maybe it’s Laura’s new job offer: as
Satan’s replacement down under. Unfortunately, the position
comes at a damnable price: killing Betsy, her own
flesh-and-blood.
Over Betsy’s dead body. And for
that matter Marc’s, too, since he’s not quite as buried as
everyone thought. Now a war has been waged—one that’s going
to take sibling rivalry to a whole new level, and a
dimension where only one sister can survive
