Drew Watson owns the adjoining bar (don't call it a strip club even if he does host a male revue several nights a week). He's not a fan of the psychic next door but thinks her daughter is pretty hot. Their mutual attraction, shared space, and love of eighties music keep throwing them together. Can Violet see past the cute and practical doctor she thinks should be right for her to the handsome and complicated man who might be what she needs?
BELIEVE IT OR NOT is charming, funny, and just a little bit sexy. Drew and Violet make a good couple that brings out the best in each other. Violet's mom and her friends provide a colorful contrast to Drew and Violet's more cerebral approach to life. The challenges Violet faces as she figures out what she really wants out of life add a dash of humor to strengthen the plot. I think the story would have benefited from an expanded sub-plot to flesh out some of the supporting characters and take some of the burden off of the main story. The use of music to connect Violet, Drew, and their businesses was a clever twist.
