The plot twisted and turned, and I was shocked to discover who really had done it! I never imagined the ending before it actually happened. Jordan was as real a heroine as it gets. A woman on her own, Jordan had suffered with her choices and plunged into her career with the State Department with all her energy. Left alone, betrayed, and shocked Jordan managed to struggle with trusting again and building a life beyond any she had ever allowed herself. I was left just as emotionally weary as she was by the time she found Jared; the fact that this woman had the courage to stay true to herself and her new life was astounding! A real emotional roller coaster right up until the last page!
