After being poisoned by a nefarious villain still at large (in book number one, HOW TO WASH A CAT), Rebecca has developed a fear of orange mustaches like the one he wore as a disguise. She sees them floating in the air and on frogs. Frogs figure prominently in NINE LIVES LAST FOREVER, as Rebecca continues to try to make the Green Vase a profitable antique shop, rather than the cover for treasure hunting: the purpose to which her deceased uncle put it.

Each day, more frogs appear. And every day, Rebecca learns some new facet about her strange and reclusive beloved uncle. She is also starting to wonder if the quirky Montgomery Carmichael might be right: that her uncle did not die but is running "things" in secret. After learning about an organization her Uncle Oscar revived and his friends' multiple hidden agendas, she wouldn't be surprised at anything.

Readers will be surprised at several aspects of this work, including the narrative structure, which is a real treat.
