The latest installment in the Orchard series, RED DELICIOUS DEATH, finds orchard owner Meg Corey employing her sleuthing skills once again as the murder of a newcomer causes a stir in the small town of Branford, Massachusetts. A group of young chefs have come to Branford, looking for the ideal place to open their own restaurant, one that incorporates fresh local produce into the menu. Meg is thrilled with the prospect and with her background in banking, offers to advise the fledgling business owners as well as supply them with all the apples they need. The whole town is excited about the new business, but when one of the young men is found dead in a pig wallow, it soon appears that somebody wasn't too happy about the idea. As Meg talks to her neighbors and tries to piece together the clues that will lead to the identity of the killer, her romance with handyman Seth Chapin continues to bubble along as nicely as a hot apple pie. With Seth's help, Meg soon tracks down the culprit, just in time to save the restaurant from certain demise.
