Cassa Hawkins is a reporter and is a supporter of Breed rights. She is investigating a series of murders and that investigation has put her in contact with Cabal St. Laurents, a bengal breed that she met years ago and for some reason is wildly attracted to. Someone is killing the Deadly Dozen, a group of men who considered the breeds an abomination and were working at extermination of all the breeds. This could be very bad for the breeds as public sentiment could swing against them if it were discovered that breeds were killing humans. Cabal is trying to find the breed who is murdering the Dozen to stop the murders before it becomes public knowledge. Cassa knows that Cabal is her mate and he has been avoiding claiming her for many years because he didn't want the emotional entanglement, but, now that they are thrown together in the investigation, he can't avoid claiming her as his mate and protecting her from herself and the murderer.

BENGAL'S HEART was a little hard to get started because I hadn't read the preceding books, but, once I got into it, the story line caught me and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. It was hot and steamy, and the plot of the story was well written. Now I have to get the other books so I can keep up with the characters, and the rest of the Breeds.

Book Summary

Reporter Cassa Hawkins has always supported Breed rights— especially in light of a specimen like Cabal St. Laurents, the epitome of the male animal. But when the Breeds are incriminated in a series of violent murders, it’s left to Cassa and Cabal to discover the truth before they become prey.
