Hired mercenary Rand la Nuit has come to Rivenloch Castle in hopes of finding the Shadow, so he can receive his reward. This story is full of surprises, a lot of action and deception and best of all, the discovery of love and an attraction so forceful Miriel and Rand could burn from the heat. I loved it and highly recommend this medieval romance. You should also read Miriel's warrior sisters' stories: Helena in CAPTIVE HEART and Deirdre in LADY DANGER.
